TRAVERSE CITY -- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network will move their sales and service center to downtown Traverse City.

The Blues', as they call themselves, will move from their current location on Garfield to lease new offices at the City Centre Plaza on State Street.

The move is a part of their commitment to maintain a presence in Traverse City.

"Michigan is our home and our employees have lived and worked in this area for many years," said Jeff Connolly, BCBSM Vice President.

Connolly also said the new location will help meet customer needs through walk-in customers service, a more customer friendly office environment, and a more efficient use of the space.

"The facility will also provide us with the flexibility to adapt our services to the frequently changing health care market, and helps hold down real estate costs," Connolly said.
