TRAVERSE CITY -- A company by the name of Iconosys is contacting local businesses under the name of "Traverse City Visitor Guide" selling listings for a phone app.
The name they are using is causing confusion with business thinking that app comes through the Traverse City Visitors Bureau.
The Visitors Bureau has made it clear in a press release that Visitors Bureau "has no affiliation with this company or their product."
In the release, Brad Van Dommelen, President and CEO of the TCCVB said they want to "make it clear that this is not our organization and we are not endorsing their products."
