In this week's Upnorthlive ReVibe, Dan and Denine reveal their entire 1950's inspired kitchen with a checkered floor, dining set and even Dan in an apron!

ReVibe a retro wall:
Clean: Use a household cleaner/degreaser to thoroughly clean interior and exterior surfaces. If there are still imperfections, that is ok.
"If there are a lot of imperfections in the wall, you want to make sure you pick the right paint," said Dan. "And what we used on these walls is what I use on about 95% of the houses I do."
Dan recommends using a ceramic matte paint.
"It's a low sheen on the wall... You don't see a lot of the imperfections in the wall," said Dan.
ReVibe an old dining table into a retro chic dinette set:
"I have this lovely dinette set.. It's from 1971," said Denine. "It's about 20 years newer than our refrigerator, but I think that's ok... It adds a little more interest."
Denine's trick to change up the chair cushions: Use old t-shirts!
"If you're doing a dinner party and you're doing an over-the-hill theme, or you want to do something red for Cinco de Mayo, you can just change it out for a night," said Denine.
