TRAVERSE CITY -- Benjamin Deverney has been charged with indecent exposure after sunning himself on a Traverse City beach.

The incident took place near the end of June, when Deveney removed his pants exposing himself as he laid on the beach near two families.

Deverney was on parole for a felony conviction for assault with intent to do bodily harm less than murder.

A condition of his parole was to not consume alcohol, and police say Deverney was intoxicated when arrested.

The indecent exposure charge is a misdemeanor.
