Missing elderly Alzheimer's patient found safe

BOYNE CITY -- 7:30 p.m. Update - Boyne City Police say Suzanne Heiny has been found safe. She had gone to the wrong home.

Original Report - Police are searching for a missing Alzheimer's patient. 78-year-old Suzanne Heiny left her home on Cedar St. today at approximately 1:00 pm. She is in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease and is believed to be lost.

She was thought to be taking a walk on Lake St. but didn't return home.

She is approximately 5'4" and 120 pounds with short brown curly hair and blue eyes. Heiny is believed to be wearing a baseball cap, a black and white striped shirt, and black pants. She also wears glasses.

Anyone who sees someone matching that description is urged to call 911 or (231) 439-3500.
