"ReVibe the trendy retro feel," said Denine.
TRAVERSE CITY -- Four Steps to ReVibe a rusty cabinet:
1. Clean: Use a household cleaner/degreaser to thoroughly clean interior and exterior surfaces.
"The right products to clean, apply color and create clean lines will make your project last," said Dan. "Rely on knowledgeable service to get help from the team at Northwood Paint or any home improvement store. Tell them what you're up to and offer a picture of your project. Today's products and tools can be affordable and make your results look professional, two important things that will make you really proud of your designer DIY project!"
3. Scuff the surface: Use a medium grit sanding sponge to prepare exterior surfaces for paint.
4. Paint: Apply breakthrough coating from Northwood paint with a fine finish roller also found at Northwood Paint or your favorite paint supply store.
"ReVibe the trendy retro feel," said Denine. "Use an updated hue of retro wall color or an accessory piece of functional furniture like a cabinet, beverage cart or side table. Old, steel cabinets with character similar to the ones you see at Chairitable Resale may be purchased at yard sales and cleaned up for fun and space-saving retro attitude."
