DULUTH, MINNESOTA -- The Coast Guard has rescued 15 people this week in Minnesota after major thunderstorms flooded the area in and around Duluth, Minnesota earlier this week.
Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton declared a state of emergency after more than twelve inches of rain fell in Northeastern Minnesota.
Coast Guard helicopter and boat crews are conducting harbor patrols and assisting in response efforts.
Some residents in the area have been without water for two days.
There were no immediate reports of major pollution, deaths or serious injuries.
