GRATIOT CO. -- An Alma man is charged with stealing credit cards to buy thousands of dollars worth of items in Gratiot County and investigators say charges in three other counties could be coming soon.

Arthur Waldron, 40, is accused of stealing a purse from a shopper at Walmart on June 7.  Investigators say he used the credit cards and checkbook to make purchases over several days in four counties.

Additional charges are expected in Montcalm, Isabella and Clinton Counties.  Charges are also expected against a woman who police believe helped Waldron commit the crimes.

Troopers seized thousands in illegally purchased property from the Alma home.  The items included a home theatre system, flat screen television, several other electronics, a large amount of clothing and jewelry, tools, auto parts and two exotic dragons from an area pet shop.
