BOYNE CITY -- We visited Mr. Smith's 7th grade science class at Boyne City Middle School! The class began with a short power point presentation, followed by a quick question and answer session- if you get the answer right he throws you some candy! The class was learning about pollution. Using food coloring and water, students recorded how many drops were put in of each and worked on understanding parts per million. The ending thought was to notice that if you have enough water added, there might not be visible food coloring, but it doesn't mean you didn't add it- therefore, even if you can't see it, there may be pollution in the water and it can grow from there. It was a fantastic day learning about science! Mr. Smith's class- we salute you! Have a great summer!
