DNR to host public meeting for evacuated residents

LUCE COUNTY -- The Department of Natural Resources will host a public meeting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, in Newberry for those residents who were evacuated from the area because of the wildfire or those who have questions about the evacuations. The DNR will provide general fire information and updates, as well as information about structure losses.

WHAT:
Informational meeting about evacuations and structural losses

WHEN:
Sunday, May 27th, at 2 p.m.

WHERE:
McMillan Township Hall
(at the corner of M-123 and Truman in Newberry)

NOTE: All evacuees are asked to please call the following number(s) in order to register so that they can be contacted when there is new information on the status of structures:
U.P. Residents – 211
Non-U.P. Residents – 800-338-1119

Callers will be asked to provide their names, fire number/address, general location of their structures, and current contact information (cell phone, etc.) where they can be reached.
