It's Memorial Day weekend and one thing you can count on is traffic on the roads.

In order to help make travel easier, the Michigan Department of Transportation is lifting restrictions on the majority of the road projects over the weekend.

The following areas will continue to have traffic restrictions through the weekend:

-US-10 Lake County

-US-23 in Oscoda, Iosco County

-M-20 (70th Avenue) just south of Mecosta in Mecosta County

-US-131 near Howards City, Montcalm County

The other areas will open at 3 pm on Friday and continue through 6 am on Tuesday.

As always, travelers are urged to buckle up and avoid cell phone usage on the road.

For a full list of traffic restrictions throughout the state, and for more details on this work areas, visit the Michigan Department of Transportations website by clicking here.
