A woman in Iosco County is charged with embezzling from a fund that raises money for student athletes.
State Police say Toni Nieman stole more than $20,000 dollars from the Cardinal Club Athletic Boosters, a private group that provides financial support for Whittemore-Prescott Schools.
Nieman served as the treasurer of the boosters from fall of 2006 until January of this year.
State Police say financial discrepancies were discovered during an audit.
Nieman faces up to ten years in prison if convicted, plus restitution.
