BLAIR TOWNSHIP -- A 34 year old man was arrested early Wednesday morning after a traffic stop confimed that he was responsible for a break in at Shooter's Range in Blair Township.

The break in took place around midnight last night. Deputies on the scene discovered six handguns were missing. Deputies were able to review video and determine a suspect description.

This morning around 1:40 am, a Grand Traverse Sheriff's Deputy stopped a 1999 full size conversion van after making an improper turn onto Racquet Club Drive off South Airport Road.

The Deputy was able to determine that the man had a warrant for his arrest for contempt of court and arrested the man. The Deputy then realized that the man fit the description from the buglary and searched the vehicle, finding an orange stocking cap, grey shirt, and a claw hammer.

Upon a search of the suspects house, Deputies found 5 handguns that matched the description and serial numbers of the guns taken from Shooter's Range.

The suspect is being held in the Grand Traverse County Jail.
