MANISTEE -- An arrest has been made in a Manistee County cold case murder.

62 year-old Peter Lee Peterson was arrested Tuesday morning and is charged with open murder and felony firearm in the 1995 death of Vincent Adamczak.

This investigation began in 2002 when Adamczak was reported missing to the Michigan State Police. Information lead detectives to Peterson and last June evidence was collected at his home, which lead to his arrest on Tuesday.

Investigators say a woman, Rosemary Skrzycki was present when Adamczak was shot and she helped cover it up. She was given a plea deal to testify against peterson.

Peterson's bond is set at half a million dollars.

Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Michigan State Police-Cadillac Post at (231) 779-6040.
