It happened at 9am at Northwestern Bank on N. Brownson Avenue in Kingsley.

Police say the suspect walked into the bank and handed the teller a note about the robbery.  When he was leaving he told the teller to have everyone stay inside because "there is something bad in the parking lot."   The area was closed off to traffic while a bomb sniffing dog was brought in.  The dog is still on scene as of 11am.

Grand Traverse County Deputies and Michigan State Police are searching for a suspect at this time.   He is described as a white man in his 50's.  He was wearing an orange stocking hat and jeans.  He left eastbound on M-113 in a teal green Kia.
