TRAVERSE CITY -- The dog park planned for Traverse City will be discussed at the Traverse City Parks & Recreation Commission meeting Thursday.

City Commissioners will get an update on the dog park and a discussion will take place on drafting dog park guidelines.

According to the Traverse City Dog Park website - the group has met it's financial fundraising goal of $15,000.  Now Traverse City will go through a bidding process to find a company to put up the fencing and build the park.

The hope is to break ground by the end of May or early June.

Thursday's City Commission meeting will get underway at 6:30pm at the City Commission Chambers on the 2nd floor of the Governmental Center.
