TRAVERSE CITY -- Eleven ducklings are safe and sound tonight after a rescue this afternoon near Target in Traverse City. A passer-by spotted 12 ducklings walking behind their mother across a sewer grate, but only one duckling made it across without falling in. The duck lover called the Grand Traverse Fire Department and with the help of a net they borrowed from nearby MC Sporting Goods, all 11 ducklings were pulled up from the sewer.
