CADILLAC -- Police are warning the Cadillac community to be on high alert after two attempted abductions.

Investigators say the crimes involved a 10-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy.  Both incidents took place Monday, one at 8am and the other at 3pm.

One attempted abduction happened near the intersection of Linden Street and Aldrich Street just before school. The other took place on Haynes Street near AJ's Pizza just after school.

Police say each child was walking alone at the time.  The victims say a man and a woman asked them to get into the van they were driving. Both children ran away from the area.

The victims described the vehicle as a reddish, brown, box-van or utility van with considerable rust.

The suspects are described as a white man, mid 30's with a moustache and medium build.  The other was a white woman in her early 20's with long black hair.  The woman also had tattoos and piercings.

Anyone who was in the area and may have information is asked to call the Cadillac Police Department at 231-775-3491.
