MASON COUNTY -- It’s been nearly nine months since baby Kate Phillips went missing in Mason County and Monday the search for answers will continue, as the trial of her father Sean Phillips, begins.

21-year-old Sean Phillips will appear in Mason County Circuit Court Monday on charges of Unlawful Imprisonment.

Originally Phillips faced two charges related to the disappearance of his daughter Kate but one of those charges, Parental Kidnapping, was dropped just over a week ago.

Four and a half month old Kate Phillips went missing in June of 2011, after Sean Phillips took off with her from her mother's home in Ludington, and that was the last time baby Kate has been seen.

The trial begins Monday at 9:00am with jury selection, 7&4 news will be there and bring you the latest updates.
