GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY -- Spring is finally here and that means the TART Trails need a good spruce up for all the action they're about to get.

TART Trail officials are asking you to join them in celebrating Earth Day, by lending a helping hand to clean up the trail system.

Volunteer "Work Bees" are needed to pick up trash, sweep and do some trimming of trees at five different locations along the trail.

The clean up day is Saturday April 21, from 9:00am - 12:00pm.  Volunteers should bring their own tools if they have them and meet at 9:00am at one of the following locations:

-Leelanau Trail at Cherry Bend Road Trailhead

-Boardman Lake Trail at Hull Park (behind library)

-Three Mile Trail at Parsons/ 3 Mile Road

-TART Trail at 4 Mile Road to Bunker Hill Road, Meet at Einstein Cycles
