The prosecutor's office in Ludington says parental kidnapping charges have been dropped against Sean Phillips in the missing case of Baby Kate Phillips.
According to the prosecutor, they changed Phillips' charge to kidnapping secret confinement. He says they did that to streamline the charges for the jury.
Baby Kate disappeared in June, 2011 and was last seen with Sean Phillips.
His trial is still scheduled for April 16th.
