Two Mancelona High School students were taken into custody today after deputies say one of the students took a gun to school Thursday.

The Antrim County Sheriff's Department says the firearm was a small caliber handgun and was not loaded.

The Sheriff believes there was no intent to harm anyone, that the gun was brought to school to show another student who was thinking of buying a gun for target practice.

The teens involved were 15 and 16 years old.

The investigation continues tonight.
