GAYLORD, MI -- Generators are flying off the shelves for people without power.

The Gaylord Home Depot tells us they've sold close to 60 generators since Friday and they expect a shipment of 80 additional generators Monday night.

The generators, properly named "Storm Response," cost about $650 and are a hot commodity.

"A lot of these people have never really had any experience with a generator, but they know that's what's necessary to get them over this hump, and take care of their house, and their lives, and be able to cook food, whatever it takes," says Home Depot employee Mike Coutant.

Coutant says if you are running a generator, make sure that you have it outside and it has a place to release exhaust.
