In some cases, the mast which holds the electric service wires to your home or business may have been damaged or torn away from the home. Utility crews will reconnect the wires to your home, but only a licensed electrician can repair or replace a mast or a cable.
Consumers Energy will trim or remove trees interfering with electric restoration activities. Clean up of debris from tree trimming or removal during a storm emergency is the responsibility of individual property owners.

Cherryland Electric has 7 more crews coming in from around the state Sunday to help in the effort to restore power from the storm.
As of Sunday evening 7,000 customers are without power, down from a high of about 20,000 Saturday.
It's slow going because of conditions. But between the hard work of our regular CEC crews and the crews coming in today, we're hopeful of getting several thousand more back on today.

Presque Isle Electric & Gas:
Latest data predicts an estimated 16,000 power outages occurred across Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-op’s service area after more than a foot of heavy snow fell Friday night into Saturday.
The snow load has now frozen onto most trees, leaving them broken or sagging over roads and onto lines. All available PIE&G employees and outside contractors are working around the clock to make repairs and respond to outage calls.
Although PIE&G has restored electricity to approximately 6,800 services, current estimates show 9,300 services still without power Sunday night.
Worker access to equipment and lines is obstructed by the frozen, drooping trees and deep snow. Special equipment and snowmobiles are being used and tree removals necessary to get to many areas needing repair. Because of the extensive damage across the region and Mother Nature slowing progress, PIE&G is advising members to prepare for these outages to extend late into next week, possibly Friday. PIE&G appreciates member patience and understanding
