Woman's lifeless body driven to gas station in East Jordan
Body found at East Jordan gas station on Wednesday
EAST JORDAN, MI -- Charlevoix County Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a woman was found dead in the passenger seat of a car and they're calling it suspicious.
Investigators say a 34-year-old woman's body was discovered around 6:15 Wednesday morning in the parking lot of the East Jordan Co-op on State Street. It is the Marathon gas station in town.
A person called 911 reporting that the woman was not breathing and had no pulse.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was taken to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids for autopsy.
We're told the cause of death is unknown at this time.
