TRAVERSE CITY -- The Fife Lake woman convicted of neglecting seven horses was back in court Tuesday.

Danelle Round admitted to neglecting the animals on her propery earlier this month. Two horses had to be euthanized because they were so malnourished. Round was charged with one-count of animal neglect. She pleaded guilty to abandoning or being cruel to animals. She has not been sentenced yet.

Round and her daughter Nakita Booth respresented themselves in 86th District Court for the hearing where they asked the judge to return the horses back to them.

A Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Deputy and a local vet both testified that the horses were in poor condition when they were found on Round's property in January.

Horse North Rescue will keep the horses including some that belonged to Round's daughter.
