FRANKFORT, MI -- First grade students at Frankfort-Elberta Elementary School are supporting our troops overseas by writing letters to the front lines.

“I feel like there is nothing better than to get a note in the mail from...you know...a little first grader who sometimes spells some things wrong and has the cutest drawings...so I think it will make them smile at least,” said Melissa Pierce, teacher.

Each student wrote a personalized message and included a drawing for the troops.
