TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- A man is behind bars after shooting a wild turkey while under the influence of alcohol.
Deputies said the incident happened Saturday shortly after 1p.m.
The suspect, who officials said is in his 50's, told deputies that he shot the turkey because it had been harassing his father.
The suspect's name has not been released.
Deputies said the man blew a .09 at the scene of the crime.
He faces multiple charges, including hunting turkey out of season and handling a firearm while under the influence.
