CHIPPEWA COUNTY -- A man from Ohio is dead after crashing his snowmobile in Chippewa County.
Chippewa County Sheriffs Deputies say the accident happened late Friday afternoon, north of Eckerman, in Bay Mills Township.
52 year-old Gary Gundrum from Ohio, missed a curve in the roadway, lost control and was thrown from the sled, directly into a tree.
Deputies estimate Gundrum was traveling at around 60 mph and say no alcohol was involved in the accident.
