Two people are dead after crashing their snowmobiles into a trees this weekend.
Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office says the first accident happened on Friday at around 1:30pm in the afternoon. Deputies say a Ryan Crandall, 28, of Traverse City lost control of his snowmobiles on Mayfield Road and hit a tree. He was taken to Munson Medical Center where he later died from injuries sustained at the crash.
The second crash happened at around 10:45pm Saturday night on Trail #7 in Cheboygan County, Mentor Township. Michigan State Police say the woman swerved off the trail and hit a tree. They found deer tracks near the accident, which suggests she may have tried to avoid the deer, when she veered off the trail. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
