TRAVERSE CITY -- The United Way of Northwest Michigan is recruiting board members and instead of just picking people they are asking anyone who is interested to apply.
Steve Wade, executive director of the United Way of Northwest Michigan says being a board member is a three year term in which members oversee the operation of the organization. Applicants will be chosen first through interviews over the phone and then interviewed in person.
