Sean Phillips, 21, was scheduled for trial in Ludington on Jan. 17 for unlawful imprisonment and parental kidnapping.

LUDINGTON (AP) -- The father of missing baby Kate will not go to trial as planned this month.

Sean Phillips, 21, was scheduled for trial in Ludington on Jan. 17 for unlawful imprisonment and parental kidnapping.  Mason County Prosecutor, Paul Spaniola announced the postponement Thursday.  No new trial date has been set.

Katherine Phillips was 4 1/2 months old when she last was seen June 29, 2011, with Phillips. Katherine lived with her mother Ariel Courtland at an apartment in Ludington.

Extensive searches, including a lake in November, have not turned up any clues.

Law enforcement agencies are still asking for tips to help them find out where Phillips and the baby were on the afternoon of June 29. Anyone with information can call (231) 869-5858.
