MANISTEE -- Manistee Police are searching for a gunman responsible for two armed robberies.
On New Year's Eve at 9:30pm an armed man entered Little Caesars Pizza on U.S. 31 in the City of Manistee and confronted the employees at gunpoint.
The victim was ordered to the ground and searched for a cell phone by the suspect. The suspect then closed the two employees on duty in the bathroom and ordered them to stay there or he would kill them.
The suspect then was heard opening the cash register and then running out the back door of the restaurant.

On New Year's Day at 7pm. a gunman matching the description of the robber from the night before entered the A & W restaurant on US-31 and walked into the back room to confront the employees who were closing out the till from the shift.
The gunman demanded and received the cash receipts from the employees. The gunman fled the scene on foot. City, County Sheriff, State and Tribal police all responded to the area and again mounted a foot and K-9 search without producing a suspect or any evidence.
