HAYES TWP. -- Investigators say speed and slippery roads are to blame for a deadly crash in Clare County.

It happened Sunday on the north bound lane of U.S. 127, south of Arnold Lake Road in Hayes Township.

The 53-year-old Palmrya man who was driving the vehicle was able to escape the rollover crash and call 911 for help.  The man told the 911 operator that his passenger was trapped inside the vehicle.

The passenger, Jennifer Jolicoeur, 39, of Adrian was killed.
