Suspect left scene of accident Tuesday night
ALPENA -- The Alpena Police Department is investigating a hit and run accident that took place shortly after nine Tuesday night at the intersection of Miller and Cedar Street.
A 19-year-old woman was attempting to cross the intersection when a vehicle turned onto the road and struck her before fleeing the scene.
The victim was treated for her injuries and later released from Alpena Regional Medical Center.
She described the vehicle as an older model gray passenger car.
