Family feud escalates into stabbing

MT. PLEASANT -- An argument between two brothers escalated into one man being stabbed.

The fight took place Saturday on the 1100 block of  East Bennett road in Mt. Pleasant.

Police say Lucas Kersjer, 28, of Mt. Pleasant stabbed his brother in the stomach with a fold out pocket knife.  The victim Matthew Kersjer, 31, of Mt. Pleasant, is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Lucas Kersjer is charged with Assault With Intent To Do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder,  Concealed weapons, Weapons Dangerous Weapon Carrying With Unlawful Intent, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Domestic Violence.

Lucas Kersjer is being held on $30,000 bond.
