TRAVERSE CITY -- As the Traverse City State Theatre prepares to kick off the season with some Christmas specials, organizers are hoping for some feedback from the community.
Officials want to find out who uses the theater and what can be done to make it a better asset to the community. An online survey is available by clicking here.
The Traverse City State Theatre is also in need of some repairs, and organizers are taking donations to help get the job done. More details on the fundraising campaign can be found by clicking on the link. The Traverse City Film Festival fundraiser campaign is past the halfway point, raising $317,000 of the 500,000 needed by December 31. The money raised will replace the front exterior of the historic downtown building.
Friday the holiday season was kicked off with a showing of the 1947 classic "Miracle on 34th Street." You can catch the "Wizard of Oz" Saturday at 10am with a Grand Traverse Pie Bike Giveaway. Tickets for both movies are just 25-cents.
