TRAVERSE CITY -- UpNorthLive's Facebook fans voted to hear more about the book project highlighting the history of Hickory Hills Ski Area in Traverse City.

Hickory Hills is a ski area owned and operated by the City of Traverse City.  In celebration of its 60th year in operation, two local teenagers, Molly Tompkins and Ryan Ness,  are helping tell the history of Hickory Hills through a book project. "Light the Night", is a pictorial history of Hickory Hills and was compiled with more than 80 personal interviews.

You can learn more about "Light the Night" and preorder a copy of the book by clicking here.  You can also share your own Hickory memories and photos.
