It happened Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Darr and Wilson Road in Mason County.
MASON CO. -- The Mason County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that left several people, including two children, seriously hurt.
It happened Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Darr and Wilson Road.
Deputies say a pick-up truck driven by a 17-year-old girl from Scottville was heading north on Darr Road. The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of the truck was speeding when she went through the intersection without stopping at the posted stop sign. The truck collided with a car driven by a 33-year-old woman from Scottville. The impact sent the car into a ditch and caused to truck to flip in the intersection.
The driver of the car, along with her 13-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son were taken to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City with injuries. The driver was later transferred to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids and is in stable condition. The 9-year-old was also transferred to Grand Rapids and is listed in critical condition.
The driver of the pick-up truck and her 19-year-old passenger were also treated at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City for injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
