MANTON -- You may know that hunting season brings a big economic boost to Northern Michigan this time of year, but right now Christmas tree farms are working over-time to keep up with the growing demand.

Dutchman Tree Farm in Wexford County is the largest Christmas tree producer in the region. This week is the company's busiest time of year.

Owner Chris Maciborski says, "We'll load about 60 trucks today, and by the end of the week it will ramp up to about 120 trucks a day we're loading."

Ten varieties of trees will be shipped out to buyers from the Rocky Mountain to the East Coast.
