Transitional housing for homeless Veterans

Out of the many men and women who have served our country -- sadly many have ended up homeless.

But Goodwill Industries is changing that with their veterans transitional housing community in Gaylord, known as Patriot Place.

Seven former service members have moved in to the community that can house up to twenty four veterans at any given time, the housing lets the former service members stay for two years while getting their life back on track.

The Veteran's have a very special bond one that helps allow healing and help.

"The brotherhood of all the vets here, it is a pretty special thing to me it is anyway that we try to help each other and become a community, said Greg Nelson a ten year Coast Guard Veteran.

The project took two and a half years to complete.

Each duplex unit is fully furnished and move in ready, complete with beautiful handmade quilts for every veteran.
