TRAVERSE CITY -- UpNorthLive's Facebook fans voted to hear more about dealing with loss during the holidays.

The Munson Hospice is offering a way to help the healing process by creating holiday memorials.   The Art Therapy Coordinator for the program says turning a lost loved one's memory into art can help bring peace of mind and help a person heal.

"A lot of people anticipate the holidays without that person and anxiety increases and I think when we take time to remember them and perhaps make a memorial, we're giving light to that person and it makes the holiday a little bit easier to cope with," explained Barbara McIntyre.

Tuesday evening a group made angel ornaments in memory of their loved ones.  You can create something similar to help remember your loved ones during the holidays.

If you would like to help choose the news, take part in our Facebook Story of the Day segment.  Each evening three new stories are posted to our Facebook fan page.  You have until 9 a.m. the following day to cast your vote for the story you would like to see on 7&4 News at 6.
