HOPE Program

GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY -- A new non-profit group has set out to help assist struggling famlies with pet food and vet bills.

Helping owners with pet expenses, or HOPE, was started by Susan Reabe after realizing the number of pets being dropped off at shelters was increasing.

The goal of the organization is to keep pets in loving homes and cut down on euthanasia.

HOPE is still raising funds and food to be able to hand out. You can donate at the Bay Area Pet Hospital in Traverse City or the East Bay Animal Hospital in Acme.
