TRAVERSE CITY -- In a Michigan Messenger article, Pop-Star Madonna's brother, Anthony Ciccone talks about how he is homeless and living under a bridge in northern Michigan.
The story touches on Anthony Ciccone's struggle with drug addiction and how he feels that his family turned their back on him.
He also makes a point to mention how he has benefited from the generous nightly meal programs and shelters offered throughout the Traverse City community.
7&4's Kate Fox went to find out exactly what is offered for the homeless, specifically those dealing with substance abuse and addiction.
Goodwill Industries Executive Director Cecil McNally says, "when you start to look at the homeless issue in this area, in the five counties, in any given night there's usually around 700 homeless people living on the streets...."
