Area students compete for a $2,000 college scholarship
TRAVERSE CITY -- From fake kidnappings to killer bananas to a pie in the face, area students are bringing their best stories to life for a big prize.
Bill Marsh Auto Group is awarding local students scholarships worth more than $3,500 for the best student video. It's up to you to vote for the most captivating story on film. It will come down to five finalists that will all receive scholarship prizes, but the top prize is a $2,000 scholarship.
The top five finalists will head to the State Theatre in Traverse City on November 4th, where a group of judges will determine the final winner. All finalists will have their projects played on the big screen. First place wins the $2,000 scholarship, second and third place win $500 scholarships, and fourth and fifth place finalists win $250 scholarships.
