ONEKAMA -- A large garage is destroyed by fire in Manistee County.
Crews were in the Onekama area responding to a downed wire around 6:30 a.m. Monday when they saw smoke about a 1/4 mile away. The garage on the 8-thousand block of Oakdale was fully engulfed when they arrived.
Investigators believe the fire started with an electrical issue and was fueled by a propane tank in the building. A seasonal home nearby was not damaged.
Fire crews from Onekama, Bear Lake and Arcadia fought the blaze for about an hour and a half.
