New safety features will be installed at railroad crossings near Grayling.

GRAYLING (AP) -- The state Transportation Department is upgrading railroad crossings near Grayling in Crawford County.

Work is expected to start Monday and include crossing reconstruction and installation of warning devices.

The state says in a release that Interstate 75 Business Loop traffic will be rerouted. Other traffic will be shifted. No detour is planned during work on M-72.

The work expected to be completed sometime next month.
