Man pleads guilty in CherryT Ball embezzlement

TRAVERSE CITY -- A man has pleaded guilty to two counts of embezzlement from a New Year's Eve charity event in Traverse City. Brian Sweebe was accused of stealing between $2,000 and $3,000 from the CherryT Ball Drop.

He entered the plea earlier this month to two counts of embezzling between $200 and $1,000. No word yet on a sentencing date.

The CherryT Ball Drop raises money for several charities in the area.
