One young girl is trying to raise awareness for breast cancer in a very different way.  Samantha Stevens a student at Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen is celebrating breast cancer awareness month in a flash, well a flash mob that is.

At the age of eleven, this fifteen year old dancer was struck with the news that her mother had stage 3B inflammatory breast cancer, a sometimes deadly diagnosis that only about fourty percent of those diagnosed survive past five years.

In remission and hoping to remain that way, Samantha's Mother Peggy Stephens is hoping to bring an earlier diagnosis and treatment to women who are unaware of that type of cancer.

The Flash Mob For Awareness will start at 1pm Saturday, October 8th at the mall area of the Interlochen Academy of the Arts.  Kristen Haglund the 2008 winner of the Miss America Competition will also be speaking at the event.
