TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- Students who attend Montessori at Glenn Loomis Elementary School in Traverse City have a new way to get to school.

Wednesday morning, the school launched it's "Walking School Bus" program.

Organizers said their goal is to get more kids walking to school under adult supervision.

The school hopes to cut down on neighborhood traffic and promote a healthy lifestyle for kids.

The program will be offered on Wednesdays and Fridays.
